When you think about the word, “church,” what do you think about? Do you think about a building, a Sunday morning service? a place to meet people? What is the “church” that Jesus talks about? Jesus called each believer to be the church, to go out into the world and reach people for him. I think being a “church” should not be tied to a physical building or a certain denominational belief system. I am so glad that Hub City Church is trying and succeeding at being more than just a Sunday morning service in a particular building with a particular group of people who believe a particular way. We want to be different. If we don’t meet on Sundays, will the church die? No! Sunday morning services are not even where disciples are made… they are made in our small groups where people join together to do life… together. I’m excited about what God is going to do in and through us as Hub City Church. When we free ourselves from conventional thinking, He can use us in so many more ways! Here I am, Lord. Send me!
