I was busy at work today! Since I took Friday off, I came into almost two days worth of work, and Elizabeth left early so I was supposed to cover for her. Luckily, Marilyn was able to fill in most of the day for her. Anyway, now I’m tired. Tonight, Frankie is meeting with a [...]

Beaver Time
We went to Ridgecrest Conference Center for a 24-hour church planning retreat with Hub City Church. It was very productive. We had 9 people who were able to go and we got a lot accomplished. We came up with systems for the different areas of the church so that when people want to help serve [...]

Retreat
Today we are going to Asheville on a church planning retreat. I am excited. Being a detail-oriented person, this should be right up my alley! We are going to Ridgecrest Conference Center and staying until tomorrow afternoon. Please pray for us as we are developing systems for how Hub City Church will look. Also, I [...]

Faith
I was reading in Luke about the “triumphal entry” into Jerusalem. You know how you know things, but suddenly it clicks…. that’s kind of what happened as I read this passage today. I realized that the crowd was singing hosanna to Jesus because they thought this was it; they thought that Jesus was finally going [...]

Mind-full
I’m addicted to the word games on facebook! Scramble, Word Twist, Path Words. I could play them all night and come close sometimes, so much so that sometimes before I go to sleep, I’m thinking about words I could have made. That’s kind of weird, I guess. I used to work in a bait and [...]

thankful
It’s kind of funny… I started writing this post earlier today, but didn’t feel it was going right, so I stopped and planned to finish it tonight. Then we went to LTM (launch team meeting), and Jonathan read these verses:
1 Thess 1:2-3: “We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. [...]

Are You Afraid of the Silence?
When I get up in the morning, I love the quietness. I can enjoy the stillness of the world in those sleepy moments. I can give myself time to think and pray before the chaos of life starts rearing up its head. I love those still moments. But in the blink of an eye, it’s [...]

Hail, MIP, and other things
It was hailing today. I drove Frankie’s car to work today so I’m hoping for my sake it didn’t do any damage. Not only was it hailing, but it was pouring rain.
Which brings me back to Movies in the Park! I can’t believe we had so many people there. It was definitely a God-thing. I [...]

Movies in the Park Audience!
Here’s a video that spans across the crowd at MIP. I’m at the top of the hill in the back looking down at the crowd. You can’t see the bottom that well, but the crowd is fuller the closer you get to the screen. It’s awesome!
